Weather is changing

Written on February 23rd, 2011 by sassymomno shouts

I don’t know if its me, but I can really feel that the weather is changing. When you get out in the sun in the morning, you can feel the heat but the wind brings some chill. I heard a radio commentator say the same thing so I guess the weather is really changing.

After Christmas, I have suffered from cough and until now I still haven’t fully recovered. I observed that the weather changes in an instant, one minute it’s bright and sunny and the next thing you know it’s already drizzling.

From experience, this sudden changes in weather can bring so much sickness. I cannot tell you how paranoid I am with my kids, I just do not want them suffering from any illness. That’s why I do not forget to buy supplements especially Vitamin C, and make sure that they take it everyday.

In the coming months, hotter days are expected because it’s already summer. We need to be ready to beat the summer heat.

No time to slack off!

Being a WAHM, I tend to take my time on things. However, when you are operating a business, no matter how small it is, you do not have time to slack off! Even when you have your own predicament to deal with, life does not stop and wait for you. That is the reality of living in the fast lane. You need to catch up or else…

For the past couple of weeks, I have been extremely busy, so I was inclined to take things easier this week but “no”, circumstances did not permit me to do so. Pushing myself a little more is what I do. The outcome now reflects on my physical health.

I am now feeling a little slow. An achy throat and muscle, yikes! I think I know what’s next! I think I need to gulp in some more vitamins, especially vitamin C. I just hope that this will work (just like the other times.) I can’t afford to be sick. :-(

Dietary Supplements

Hill of VitaminAs a kid, I can still vividly remember how my mom would constantly remind us to drink our vitamins. Now that I am a mom, I do the same thing to my kids.

Growing up I thought, I would stop taking those dietary supplements but now I find myself swallowing a pill or two each day. Vitamins or what is called dietary supplements, by the name itself is intended to supplement our dietary requirements of vitamins, minerals, fiber, amino acids that are lacking in the food that we eat. As the doctors say, a person do not need to take in any nutritional supplement as long as he eats a complete diet each and everyday. As for most of us, I don’t think we consume the recommended dietary allowance each day.

In choosing the right health supplement, you need to consult your doctor. Your vitamin program will be heavily dependent on your lifestyle. You do not need to swallow a dozen pill for it might only be going to waste.
As for me, I mainly go for vitamin C and vitamin E and that’s it. Others may require differently.

With all the new diseases going on around us, prevention is better than cure. That’s why a lot of people now are heavily dependent on health supplements. There are so many available vitamin supplements in the market today, you need to consult your physician so you’ll know what is best for you. Most especially for pregnant women, prenatal vitamins are very important, the OB-GYNE will help you choose the best vitamin supplement for you and your baby.
