The heat of summer has been so paralyzing nowadays. Migraine attacks, heat rash and of course, the sweat. That’s why I have been dreading summer — except for the road trips and the time I can spend with my children, it’s not really my favorite time of the year. I wish I electricity is not that high so we can have our house fully air-conditioned.
When the temperature is really high, I keep dreaming that I am in a cold, cozy place sipping a hot choco while sitting in a barnwood furniture. Ooooh, ain’t that cool?
As I write this blog post, I can hear thunder and rains are pouring outside. I wish it will rain the whole day so the temperature will go down. Rains are a welcome respite nowadays. So I am really thankful just as long as it will not cause floods.
I wish I can just tell my body to get used to the summer temperature and be more productive as ever.
One of the things that me and my kids love to do nowadays is to watch DVD and have a movie marathon. Now that they are on vacation, we have more time to catch up with the shows and movies we have missed. It’s one of the bonding moments I have with the kids.
As to what movie to watch? We take turns. One day my daughter will choose and the next my son, and then me. If hubby is free to join us, he gets to choose what movie to watch. Ain’t it fun? Bonding without spending too much.
With the technology available these days, you are not limited to watching movies with a DVD player, you can even watch it with your computer. You just need to have a media player that supports professional media formats like VLC. You can have the vlc download free via the internet.
This abnormally temperature is once again taking its toll on my skin. Sigh! The mere fact that the heat is paralyzing, the rashes on my skin just makes it worse.
Just going out the doors of our house is already an effort, it’s like you’re stepping inside a sauna. I guess this the effect of global warming. During these times, I miss being inside an air-conditioned office… well, you win some, you lose some.
If I have a choice, I would spend summer in the mountain where the air is fresh and there is cool breeze but I can’t. A lot of what ifs… I just wish summer is over and my skin will be back to normal.
At least this heat, makes me lose some extra pounds just by sweating… wink

I don’t know if its me, but I can really feel that the weather is changing. When you get out in the sun in the morning, you can feel the heat but the wind brings some chill. I heard a radio commentator say the same thing so I guess the weather is really changing.
After Christmas, I have suffered from cough and until now I still haven’t fully recovered. I observed that the weather changes in an instant, one minute it’s bright and sunny and the next thing you know it’s already drizzling.
From experience, this sudden changes in weather can bring so much sickness. I cannot tell you how paranoid I am with my kids, I just do not want them suffering from any illness. That’s why I do not forget to buy supplements especially Vitamin C, and make sure that they take it everyday.
In the coming months, hotter days are expected because it’s already summer. We need to be ready to beat the summer heat.
Monday I woke up at 4am and I was forced to wear a sweat shirt because it was sort of chilly. The following morning I woke up the same time and I was sweating. Indeed, a sudden change in the weather. I know that summer is almost here because I can feel the heat.
It’s time to be more careful in going out in the sun, use umbrellas, wear those caps or hats like Kangol Hats and don’t go out with putting on your sunblock.
Honestly, I am quite apprehensive with how hot this summer is going to be. Last year because of the heat, I developed rashes all over my body and I had to take steroids. It’s alarming how every summer, we record the hottest day especially when we know that we have contributed to this. My son mentioned this line to me when read it in the net:
NASA reports that by the next 10 months, earth gets hotter by 4 degrees from now. Himalayan glaciers are melting @ rapid rate. Our climate is changing drastically & it’s getting worst. Help fight Global Warming by 1.Planting more trees 2.Not wasting water, 3.Using cloth bag, not burning plastic. Tell everyboday! SAVE THE EARTH!
I feel for my kids and the next generation. I just pray that we can still do something to save Mother Earth!
