Yes, I have ventured into another business, the bazaar business! Together with my sis-in-law, we decided to take the risk knowing that everybody will be rushing to buy stuff for Christmas gift-giving. This is the business I was talking about in my other blog. I couldn’t hush up because of the excitement and finally we are operational. So far, so good! We are expecting sales to peak up some more come December.
As I observe the saleable items, I am amazed. I refuse to think that I am not a trendsetter, it’s just that I have my own fashion statement. But I guess as entrepreneurs, we need to adjust to what the market dictates and not be stubborn about what we thing will sell — that is the first lesson we have learned.
Going around, I am surprised to see items that sell like the trend now are “Angry Birds”, anything about it. I have also funny shirts that spoof brands, couple shirts, and of course, accessories. However, people who have been in the bazaar business tells me that come December, everything sells. Since people love to give during Christmas.
I am praying that this venture will prosper and that even if it’s not Christmas, we will still find the right location to sell our goods.

I was dressing up for a lunch date with my hubby’s family and as I was choosing my clothes, I can feel the temperature rising. The heat is on! Summer is definitely here. I decided to wear the most comfortable clothing I have.
In a tropical country like the Philippines, the heat dictates what you wear but it should not stop from being chic and fabulous all summer. Now that summer is here, it’s time to flaunt to those summer dresses which will make you looking fab and comfy while strolling under the sun.
In the Phils., urban clothes should always be comfortable. Humidity is a common foe so it is a must to wear clothing that will let your skin breathe.
Time to gear up for the summer! I promise to have a good tan this summer.
Black Friday or the day after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping day of the year. How I wish I can be in the US at this time to take the opportunity to make my Christmas shopping early or better yet, I wish we can have a day like that here in the Philippines. Where all the prices are unbelievably marked down.
Honestly, after the Christmas season I tend to tone down my shopping spree despite all the “SALE” marked in the windows of the department store but now that I will once again travel, I need some winter clothes and I am looking for bargain finds. Of course, always being a smart shopper. Especially with all the prices going up nowadays, we need to be clever in what we spend on. Bargain prices without sacrificing the quality, right?
Yesterday, we got an invitation for my two children to participate in a Debutant’s ball. My son will be part of the 18 roses and my daughter will be one of the well wishers for the 18 candles. The party will be next month and yes, I am the one excited for my kids especially for my son, it’s his first formal party. (wink)
As early as now, I am window shopping for the right wardrobe. Going through the rack of gowns and mens ties. It motivates me to shop and create the perfect look for my kids. I guess that’s the “Fashionista” in me that’s working.
For my son, we will soon visit the tailor for his custom made pants and vest. As for my daughter, I have done my pre-shopping and we will soon hit the racks with her so she can choose her gown and of course, her shoes. The stage mom can’t wait, LOL!

A birthday is a celebration of life. People often celebrate birthdays by way of gift giving, no matter how simple it is.. It is always the idea that you are remembered that counts the most.
In deciding what to give, especially to my friends, I always make sure that I give them something that they can use. As a gift giver, it’s a nice feeling to see that your friend wears or uses the gift you have presented them. It does not need to be expensive, the more you know the person, it will be easier for you to choose and decide on what gift to give.
There are a lot of websites you can choose if you do not have time to stroll the mall, as for me…. Malling is one of my stress busters (wink). But for those busy people out there, online shopping can be very convenient. Like if you are looking for fiftieth birthday unique gifts, the wide variety of items available for gift giving can surely give you more options to choose from.
As long as it comes from the heart, all gifts are worth a treasure.

Aside from the pastries which I will bake the day before I will give them away, I am almost done with my Christmas list… and I am so relieved!
I guess this is a milestone for me, for the past years I have always been a victim of the “Christmas Rush” and it contributes to my stress — mainly because I do not have the time to do it earlier than usual. I thank the Lord for all the blessings that He have showered our family that I did not only have made time to shop for Christmas gifts but gave us the means to purchase the gifts.
Now, I can say that I am nearing my goal of a stress-free Christmas and just enjoy the season. Even my kids are almost done with the gifts for their friends. My daughter shopped on her own to buy her gifts while my son of course, is still dependent on me. He chose to give mobile phone holders with the sports theme instead of the real basketball, tennis ball or football gift.
Truly, I am overwhelmed by the blessings! Once again, I have experienced how the hands of God works in mysterious ways. Thank you, Lord!
Christmas shopping is always a good time to hunt for a good bargain. That is why I visit bazaars, not only can I find bargain deals but also unique gift ideas.
My husband considers me a shopaholic but I say, I am a smart shopper. As early as September, I have been hoarding “sale items” for our Christmas gifts. Even though I have to brave through the thick blanket of people, I would do that just to have the best value for my money.
I just wish we also have bargains like in the US such Cyber Monday and Black Friday deals. Thanksgiving is such a big deal for them and they celebrate it by giving shoppers Thanksgiving sale at the mall. Oooooh, I would probably go ga-ga over there. teeheheheeee.
I am almost half done with my Christmas list and I am having so much fun doing the shopping
My house is ready for Christmas!
Yes, every year I put up the Christmas tree right after Halloween. It’s been a tradition. Why that early? I take the opportunity since Halloween is when the kids are on a semestral break so they can help me decorate the house.
I just love the Christmas season and decorating the house with all those lovely ornaments gives real pleasure to the eyes and it also provides a cozy atmosphere at home.
Now, my kids are requesting some Christmas stockings. They tell me that it reminds them of when they were little. They would come home from school and find some Christmas loot on their stockings everyday, that’s when they still believe in Santa. Oh well, gone are the days! But at least, they have very good childhood memories.
I am now thinking of ordering Personal Creations children’s stockings ,for a more personal touch!
Christmas is indeed a happy occasion, and I want the season to last as much as possible.
My husband shopping for me? Oh, that would spell disaster!
In the few occasions, my husband attempted to buy me something, only two things happened: I accepted it so he won’t get hurt and give it to someone or I will just directly tell him to give it to someone. Either way, it’s a complete waste of money.
“Such a meanie!”, that what my son would say but hubby shopping for me will never work. I know I should appreciate the gesture (and I do!) but it’s hard to wear something you do not like.
My number one rule for my husband, you can window shop all you want but never buy without me. Now, if you want to surprise me, ask my mom or my sister — they know my taste. LOL!
Now, to avoid disappointments, you can either sort to cash or a gift certificate. That’s better!
Although I haven’t tested my husband’s taste when buying a jewelry since I buy my own. I believe a jewelry should not be as difficult as choosing a bag or a pair of shoes. I can settle for even the simplest jewelry to Cubic Zirconia or the grandest one.
Although Christmas is my most favorite time of the year, it can be a very stressful time especially for moms like me who take care of all the gift buying duties.
I try to make Christmas shopping less stressful by shopping early, like this year, I have started to shop as early as September. However, there are circumstances that are beyond our control like our cash flow that do not permit me to shop on time.
No worries! I always make it on time, no matter how stressful it is. This year, my aim is to change the Christmas decors at home and I have been looking around for different christmas trees that would fit my style and of course, my budget.
After Halloween, I usually dress up the house with Christmas decorations for a more festive feel.
Hopefully, this Christmas would be a little hassle free. It’s usually the immediate family members that are more difficult to shop for since you need to adapt it to their individuality.
It’s always fun to give gifts. As I always say, “It’s always better to be on the giving end.”
I hope you all have a stress free Christmas shopping.
