A couple of months back, I introduced frozen yogurt to my mom. At first, she was quite apprehensive with the taste having known that yogurts taste sour but she has come to love this healthy dessert. Every time we go to the mall, she’ll treat the kids to a cup of fro-yo.
I just love this delicious snack. Not only does it satisfy my craving for sweets, it also has great health benefits. It’s an excellent source of calcium, protein and other vitamins such as B12.
Frozen yogurt is the answer to my calcium needs, especially since I am not a big fan of milk. One serving of yogurt a day helps reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
Yogurt also contains live micro-organisms which is good for our immune system. These bacteria aid in digestion and prevent infections. And for people who are forever watching their weight, there is a low fat and skim yogurt.
Maybe if I stick with this yummy dessert, I won’t have to wear corsets every time I need to be dressed in cocktail dresses and gowns.

Late April fire struck the basement of Rustan’s Shangri-la in Mandaluyong and according to reports, the fire started at the storage room of Rustan’s Supermarket. Although the fire was immediately controlled, the smoke continued to spread all over the building prompting shoppers and moviegoers to evacuate. This incident also left merchandise of Rustan’s Department Store slightly damaged by smoke thus resulting to the Rustan’s Fire Sale. The sale started May 5 which extended up to May 16.
Shoppers rapidly flocked the store knowing that most of the items were up to 70% off. I have seen the long lines and I have the sale items and if you’re a shopaholic, you’d surely go home with a lot of loot.
These kinds of sale are an excellent way to find bargain finds for your own use or for gift giving, if you have enough excess money to spend. You will surely find an item that can be considered a best buy.

When I started blogging in 2007, I was fortunate to have met virtual friends who are now what I call blogger friends. Every now and then, I meet bloggers but these circle of friends have remained in tact and I am glad to be part of them.
Just recently, I was privileged to be invited to my friend, Noemi’s 25th Wedding Anniversary, and there we met again. It was a joy to have seen my blogger friends once again and catch up with one another. I guess “the sense of belonging” comes from the fact that we’re all moms and we can exchange stories and ideas that totally relates to our everyday lives.
Of course, the conversation seems never ending. We even ended up having a round of coffee and cupcakes at Cupcakes by Sonja’s. Now, I am craving for my new favourite, the Berries N’ Cream. Admittedly, I am not really a fan of Sonja’s – I just feel it’s over rated – but this one satisfied the sweet tooth in me. It’s made up of Brown Butter Almond Cake with Fresh Strawberries and Whipped Cream Icing.
Good friends, good conversation and good food… now that’s what I call LIFE! I just wish I won’t have to indulge on food so much or I will have to really look for diet plans that work.
Congratulations to Noemi and Butch for 25 years of beautiful marriage! May God continue to bless your union!

Centris Station opened its doors to the public last December 3. It is a two-level commercial center developed by Lucio Tan led Eton Properties, Inc.
Anchored by the biggest supermarket chain in the country, SM Hypermarket. The complex will have an interesting mix of specialty food outlets, specialty stores and service-oriented shops. It also part Eton Centris, an exciting 12-hectare township development, located strategically at the corner of EDSA and Quezon Avenue.

One good thing about this development is that it is commuter-friendly, having a direct connection to the MRT station. Access to different transportation has never been this convenient. It will truly be one-stop neighborhood shopping center for the whole family. (more…)
